He's for my ANG Christmas ornament exchange this year. It was a old kit from What's New Inc. for a Christmas Tree Candle. I opted to make it into a pillow ornie instead. It's been a long time since I've stitched on Aida. I had forgotten how small the holes are -- either that or my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I didn't read the directions until after I was done stitching. I read them to see how complicated their finishing was (too much for my taste). And that was when I read that I was supposed to soak the threads in vinegar before stitching to make them colorfast. Whoops. I had to wash it because there was a major crease in the fabric so I washed in cold water. No bleeding. Whew! I ironed it and then saw it start to bleed. RATS! Ran it under cold water immediately but couldn't get it out. Time for some tea staining to hide the bleed. And it worked. I can still see a little of the bleed but I don't think anyone else will unless they know where to look. Yay!<p></p><p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7sRr1Wob3AhAtTrRoXlUYzgYSzwoRtbm1HNRsRk4MeTur2UdQkf9LCahtVh8sq0mmhGLqvfdBq-7fLVsEODvc2SJQFhHdy_uVhp9OMCl9a50tbIQ_qChWZnf2o8lL4TAzK6Sgt376PSCO/s960/IMG_20211006_204340.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="911" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7sRr1Wob3AhAtTrRoXlUYzgYSzwoRtbm1HNRsRk4MeTur2UdQkf9LCahtVh8sq0mmhGLqvfdBq-7fLVsEODvc2SJQFhHdy_uVhp9OMCl9a50tbIQ_qChWZnf2o8lL4TAzK6Sgt376PSCO/s320/IMG_20211006_204340.jpg" width="304" /></a></div><p> Orchid Lady is finished. It's fun and relaxing.</p><p><br /></p><p>Another recent start is a class with my ANG group, Orchid Lady. It's been ages since I have stitched on congress cloth. I am loving the big holes, definitely easier on my eyes. I decided to change the colors from the original and paint the canvas:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_m2Zwt8Rd_JY0Ehj7O2IbnNFqmOdaSAFTmnL5QIHuCRLOePGHT_NBWdmb5nEOy5cesbhw9Froy1xVThYBQIkUggB-smLH_-VyJDh-DDw2tmzhKDRXleKtyzBWRv8SQY9oi5ocd5eLJ1QA/s2048/ORCHID+LADY+9-2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_m2Zwt8Rd_JY0Ehj7O2IbnNFqmOdaSAFTmnL5QIHuCRLOePGHT_NBWdmb5nEOy5cesbhw9Froy1xVThYBQIkUggB-smLH_-VyJDh-DDw2tmzhKDRXleKtyzBWRv8SQY9oi5ocd5eLJ1QA/s320/ORCHID+LADY+9-2021.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p>And finally, my Randje per week with butterflies sampler. I have always admired the Randje per week samplers, however, I've never stitched all in one color before and knew I wouldn't be able to maintain interest in a large project without multiple colors. So colorful butterflies (from Carriage House Samplings 1814 Butterfly Collection) are scattered amongst the randjes:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTNNKOs1gt5c75RgXEyztPzjeqUqVxoVzVQ8faOrXWo0fVNFfX6GF14VkjUem-XuJpEy9ZyaGfF7XliYoxo5GyUK9nwQGe3xmBwWwf1fWIox0bvdcxN-u1q0LBEo6XnKXuJAmAwlVybHSB/s2048/IMG_20210909_200755.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTNNKOs1gt5c75RgXEyztPzjeqUqVxoVzVQ8faOrXWo0fVNFfX6GF14VkjUem-XuJpEy9ZyaGfF7XliYoxo5GyUK9nwQGe3xmBwWwf1fWIox0bvdcxN-u1q0LBEo6XnKXuJAmAwlVybHSB/w320-h240/IMG_20210909_200755.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOpxILzWzRz11MND_opP_Y-r_rkv6eOg3JCHIeJuwKtiz4tA-kWDnqz2sfbILda1ja_HMX7Sr7itwzQxkjh8RhyphenhyphenUNjst5GceUM_HNeghu58cmoat74cYq16oMvFDKxBLbcGPEd44i7rGKm/s2048/IMG_20210925_074915.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOpxILzWzRz11MND_opP_Y-r_rkv6eOg3JCHIeJuwKtiz4tA-kWDnqz2sfbILda1ja_HMX7Sr7itwzQxkjh8RhyphenhyphenUNjst5GceUM_HNeghu58cmoat74cYq16oMvFDKxBLbcGPEd44i7rGKm/s320/IMG_20210925_074915.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p>To the right of the rust and purple butterfly is the Queen Ann's Lace stitch from a type of embroidery called Wessex Stitching. We usually have an ornament exchange and because I love this short, fat Santa from my Santa Sampler, I restitched him for it. I think he will become a pillow ornament.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz-wCavxbTKMFWoSknhaiumFJSiimQR8MD2y68IpBlB3TLuYHi-WGiyPaSW1bm3x9uWL_AiTY4Lf66xLLP4nwXxNFEM4c58UGdzd_zSoP_HbOMVL5oNrAufZF5UTknq0bz7n_-mHeNcXUs/s4305/IMG_0036+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="4305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz-wCavxbTKMFWoSknhaiumFJSiimQR8MD2y68IpBlB3TLuYHi-WGiyPaSW1bm3x9uWL_AiTY4Lf66xLLP4nwXxNFEM4c58UGdzd_zSoP_HbOMVL5oNrAufZF5UTknq0bz7n_-mHeNcXUs/s320/IMG_0036+%25282%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><p></p><p>Since the Santa Sampler is done, I needed a new project and while gathering the stuff for it, I decided to work on an old unfinished project, Tulip Quilt Sampler from Rosewood Manor. I haven't touched it in 6 years (I was in a bit of a stitching slump). It only needs 4 more quilts added to it and it will be done.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2Xpm9h3YDwrrPyYdQB4UkPQ7tVHSLO7HpdIVBsQ2qIuWaWCdPecyX4lTMIOthLiW83sPDgyPqoZ4htae14qL1LxF1uMj14QfIGGhK9soD4Xi5Qago-OvQqZc9OFukLkxoUxt0XNqXxxkx/s4778/IMG_0041+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4778" data-original-width="2055" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2Xpm9h3YDwrrPyYdQB4UkPQ7tVHSLO7HpdIVBsQ2qIuWaWCdPecyX4lTMIOthLiW83sPDgyPqoZ4htae14qL1LxF1uMj14QfIGGhK9soD4Xi5Qago-OvQqZc9OFukLkxoUxt0XNqXxxkx/s320/IMG_0041+%25282%2529.JPG" /></a></div><br /><p>Now, I don't really need a totally new project. I do have quite a few wip's that need some luvin' but I'm going to start a new one anyways. I have really been enjoying these samplers of 'whatever I feel like putting together' and so I'm going to do another one with a little twist. This one is going to be based on the Randje per Week SAL and the Carriage House Samplings pattern 1814 Butterfly Collection. I dyed some 36 count linen over the weekend and picked out some colors for it.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ViBdR4YuNM3RG1n2LetaXwnP2ds5SBuhz8JX0G9iyf_hHQN1vJfYbhQywArY3HfYktf7mv94eroDFR1XKs2mCduVNd2wbIX0P2Mx8cSmt9KJupo5UUMa98newnav6jbswlIrbWXbTJdk/s5152/IMG_0037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ViBdR4YuNM3RG1n2LetaXwnP2ds5SBuhz8JX0G9iyf_hHQN1vJfYbhQywArY3HfYktf7mv94eroDFR1XKs2mCduVNd2wbIX0P2Mx8cSmt9KJupo5UUMa98newnav6jbswlIrbWXbTJdk/s320/IMG_0037.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>My plan is to alternate between the Tulip Quilt Sampler and the new Butterfly Randje Sampler. <br /></p><p><br /></p>Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-49982184473768328822021-05-01T12:19:00.000-04:002021-05-01T12:19:36.041-04:00Santa gets some bling<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLI9V_6G91bsvIukK7KPKpttBmfOx_xtPsksN657zFkSD2EXbbQrAZtOvSQ4RlopstYi-kG6bszD5SauNOrqU8N_ejmHy-EuR5AHWkijUTBhgtzvrB9L8TfiWMzetCTdJ9dQC5ykHJmv5o/s4067/IMG_0029+%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2949" data-original-width="4067" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLI9V_6G91bsvIukK7KPKpttBmfOx_xtPsksN657zFkSD2EXbbQrAZtOvSQ4RlopstYi-kG6bszD5SauNOrqU8N_ejmHy-EuR5AHWkijUTBhgtzvrB9L8TfiWMzetCTdJ9dQC5ykHJmv5o/s320/IMG_0029+%25283%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-69898742755601274992021-04-11T08:12:00.000-04:002021-04-11T08:12:44.407-04:00Santa the Seventh<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6lgsvKIw8qSWvfvlbfTAJ-7QArotdj0FqZTrFIQ4a9oxMNqErXSBlHPxtulkAigCpSMKMehfDB7KbhoZ-Daoru-soCvb1pFTLIbklOgfzIAELofpyBi0-AmDcbmvfTDPCTmi3JJbfW5Lh/s3281/IMG_0028_1+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2915" data-original-width="3281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6lgsvKIw8qSWvfvlbfTAJ-7QArotdj0FqZTrFIQ4a9oxMNqErXSBlHPxtulkAigCpSMKMehfDB7KbhoZ-Daoru-soCvb1pFTLIbklOgfzIAELofpyBi0-AmDcbmvfTDPCTmi3JJbfW5Lh/s320/IMG_0028_1+%25282%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /> Santa number 7 is The Santa in the Moon by Twisted Oaks Design from the 2007 Just CrossStitch Christmas Ornament issue.<br /><p></p>Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-25527437147400391302021-04-04T12:25:00.002-04:002021-05-01T12:21:38.074-04:00Blue <p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><img alt="The People's Choice SAL" height="149" id="Image10_img" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx-JpCIteikXuC0-XjOVLoVaOTT0onvy8hpazVkW9G21-rMVL-j2QIJFbWv7cekXq2TU3YkUW62ISzh4il8yBY0avOhrNStwOK676T41m9P11MzN_6EpAz4tUfIa_LNvPfa64J94EUfW8/s215/You+Choose.jpg" style="visibility: visible;" width="215" /></p>It's the first Saturday of the month so time for the People's Choice SAL

I've been working sporadically over the winter on Primitive Santa. I changed the border quite a bit. I didn't like the original border, even though it's more "primitive" looking. Excuse the wrinkles, please.<br />

<br />Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-76766301291545257132017-11-18T19:08:00.001-05:002017-11-18T19:08:34.964-05:00It's been a bit of a stitching slump for me and I'm not sure it's over yet. I have, however, worked a little on my Sampler Life SAL that has turned into just a sampler of blocks. The first 3 rows and one block on the 4th row are from the Sampler Life SAL. The remaining bottom blocks are ones I've either found somewhere or I've altered to fit the 50x50 block format. I'm having a hard time finding blocks that fit in that format so any suggestions are appreciated. Right now I'm just playing with stitches and colors in the current block. I may continue with that for the last few blocks until it's finished.<br />

It was a kit from DMC and a gift. The kit came with lovely minty green aida but there was a permanent crease in the middle of it so I switched to something I had in my stash.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiclAziT7-VwjTJQqIdec5o1mfEnDxcJN8R7iko5GRqF5ioaDdG78bIuCde_4otqwq7pJun779ZvxrN0f3ytmUbliOYuRRMZ17EfRKT7SKHrSpAhhfbAi7ofQe-acrPw05HForNIyLZEtdM/s1600/Small+Rustic+Composition.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiclAziT7-VwjTJQqIdec5o1mfEnDxcJN8R7iko5GRqF5ioaDdG78bIuCde_4otqwq7pJun779ZvxrN0f3ytmUbliOYuRRMZ17EfRKT7SKHrSpAhhfbAi7ofQe-acrPw05HForNIyLZEtdM/s320/Small+Rustic+Composition.JPG" width="244" /></a></div>
<br />
I also finished a few more squares for the Sampler Life SAL. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1XtAD5wTjPr8kz6L8E1txUGSH57qlOdNXUu0drYwCu5VoVuU-MDaJDEsxEgik55PHhfUtSxUyiOU2bp9_iY4cfb0StFXzN3VnOmgDCdJsAwXJUcCRr52j-regeN17agNVKOPG_5xbAo36/s1600/Sampler+Life+20160919.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1XtAD5wTjPr8kz6L8E1txUGSH57qlOdNXUu0drYwCu5VoVuU-MDaJDEsxEgik55PHhfUtSxUyiOU2bp9_iY4cfb0StFXzN3VnOmgDCdJsAwXJUcCRr52j-regeN17agNVKOPG_5xbAo36/s320/Sampler+Life+20160919.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And then when I dug out my iron to press the Small Rustic Composition, I came across 3 other smalls that I finished earlier this year but totally forgot ... duh.<br />

I've been in a major stitching slump and am trying to get out of it. Here's what I've stitched over the last year. It's not much but I hope there will be more to come.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjylP6f80HiCzQ28SlUK8ImQL4MZrlBmblfq0zQXa6X5AyydAeIwqnpzgdi-ycE6G5RjLWfwJ0a6vZoM2VtbKMStJuinyJ5FplfkpUohcz4YMWQKQ2-FyugmBimXmayfF9ZDpQvJwO90gO4/s1600/DMC+Sampler.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjylP6f80HiCzQ28SlUK8ImQL4MZrlBmblfq0zQXa6X5AyydAeIwqnpzgdi-ycE6G5RjLWfwJ0a6vZoM2VtbKMStJuinyJ5FplfkpUohcz4YMWQKQ2-FyugmBimXmayfF9ZDpQvJwO90gO4/s320/DMC+Sampler.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
The above sampler is based on one from DMC that uses all their new floss colors. I don't really like their color combination so I changed it and am using different types of threads besides floss. I also changed the stitches in the four corner blocks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie7h8e1FGPYhhYkp2GjPj8uN2cxKQhQDAlM_i5Kapl-Suh1xGh1B0ysyycJNVrWsCjchTZhpODsJRZ9uqOAp27WlhzSdDBt5d3SV8dUWYYpI6bgmNRVqEaigZ-8DCHOCaXCgKu2j7vUWRq/s1600/SamplerLife+SAL.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="181" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie7h8e1FGPYhhYkp2GjPj8uN2cxKQhQDAlM_i5Kapl-Suh1xGh1B0ysyycJNVrWsCjchTZhpODsJRZ9uqOAp27WlhzSdDBt5d3SV8dUWYYpI6bgmNRVqEaigZ-8DCHOCaXCgKu2j7vUWRq/s320/SamplerLife+SAL.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a SAL from The Sampler Life Facebook page. Each square is a different designer and is released monthly. It's still going on if anyone is interested in joining in. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGgJc0o04EOuZMsrqQkaLyqvlCDpIImb2z1sjew7bqH_JaZI0LwW5q9JcDwCrVjIpfWyUo-WmIoLj0lXMR61WrwOdaYre1hIifNImNCpznXw8UJUUSeO28T7a2SnfUwdLcuJqZpJltM6SB/s1600/True+Friendship.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGgJc0o04EOuZMsrqQkaLyqvlCDpIImb2z1sjew7bqH_JaZI0LwW5q9JcDwCrVjIpfWyUo-WmIoLj0lXMR61WrwOdaYre1hIifNImNCpznXw8UJUUSeO28T7a2SnfUwdLcuJqZpJltM6SB/s320/True+Friendship.JPG" width="234" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is from Plum Street Samplers and is actually finished! I added the top and bottom borders just for fun. I love this quote by George Washington:<br />
<br />
<i>True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and
withstand the shocks of adversity, before it is entitled to the
appellation. </i><br />
<br />
Take care everyone! <i><br /></i>Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-47485701833660734372015-07-29T15:38:00.001-04:002015-07-29T15:38:25.896-04:00Christmas in JulyI finished this pretty little lady a few days ago. Because I inadvertently made her 2 columns thinner (who would complain about that?) and 2 rows shorter (bummer!) I adjusted the border a bit.<br />

<br />
There is a new <a href="http://christmasorniesal2015.blogspot.co.uk/">Christmas ornie SAL</a> starting in August which I've joined. Since I am already stitching some Christmas ornies this year, it seemed the perfect SAL to join. The subject for August is Santa and happily, Santa was on my list for next month ... doubly perfect.<br />

It has finally stopped raining in Pennsylvania (hooray!) and the beags took time to catch some well deserved rays.<br />

Just a few smalls (I don't fell like working on the big projects right now). I did, however, remember to take a picture of Autumn Log Cabin's progress from June. It wasn't much but every little bit gets it closer to 'done'.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgwm3HO2Sj762shkuLzfUnOdb0VC7HvhOwMHYA3bD__-6Rs9-nidlzyvQVpse24kyjRaVAM45GgN5lfL69YOpglpyGOrmuVzCkJCa4o7wixG_zS9NCWzVISYqByj9XDfiTsk1McLeuOvWo/s1600/part+5+still+partial+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgwm3HO2Sj762shkuLzfUnOdb0VC7HvhOwMHYA3bD__-6Rs9-nidlzyvQVpse24kyjRaVAM45GgN5lfL69YOpglpyGOrmuVzCkJCa4o7wixG_zS9NCWzVISYqByj9XDfiTsk1McLeuOvWo/s320/part+5+still+partial+3.JPG" width="305" /></a></div>
<br />
My haunted house for the <a href="http://halloweenorniesal.blogspot.com/">Halloween Ornament SAL</a> is from Handblessings. I changed the look of this one significantly by changing the threads and fabric.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCRvYQTj5QyVvn-D8EhUHxKdBP1-F4ebObjLrz6986dl6xYNIysUQ5T36f4oaFbfEVnrd0AvM6Ax_890c7jy1PnJ84gSbvrrUAceyxZwWAMrM_iEfGJo4PCMt7Wi3PVixNpOSiJ0eAWuhw/s1600/Haunted+House+quilt+square.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCRvYQTj5QyVvn-D8EhUHxKdBP1-F4ebObjLrz6986dl6xYNIysUQ5T36f4oaFbfEVnrd0AvM6Ax_890c7jy1PnJ84gSbvrrUAceyxZwWAMrM_iEfGJo4PCMt7Wi3PVixNpOSiJ0eAWuhw/s320/Haunted+House+quilt+square.JPG" width="316" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
And finally, a group of snowmen from Prairie Schooler. These will be made into ornaments for kids stuck in the hospital over Christmas. All except the little one. We were supposed to stitch on 14 ct fabric but I mistakenly grabbed 18 ct instead for the first one.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh07ul4gj6aiX6-Nj4ETJZrn7nWzu2YFV8oP_ICPrpHcWg6G5HgmWEPoxH6jUcUAgduKAziuGWuW6dV5Ytyu9pvQsA1_Xlz6cSEdvysOMeLTypJM_m4WLghwNj2i8_tEppR7eBbom2H_-o5/s1600/Snowmen.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="71" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh07ul4gj6aiX6-Nj4ETJZrn7nWzu2YFV8oP_ICPrpHcWg6G5HgmWEPoxH6jUcUAgduKAziuGWuW6dV5Ytyu9pvQsA1_Xlz6cSEdvysOMeLTypJM_m4WLghwNj2i8_tEppR7eBbom2H_-o5/s320/Snowmen.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I'm afraid my whole stitching schedule has gone to hell and probably won't get back on track for awhile. My dad died over a month ago. My mom died 14 years ago. I'm sure they're glad to be together again but I miss them both.<br />

My second piece is a Facebook group project. It's a little quilt that's making it's way through our group and will be auctioned off to benefit cancer. The theme is woodland things. I picked a bluebird and flowers from a pattern that was gifted to me (Joyful Summer from CCN).</div>

I'm adding a project to this SAL. It is itself a SAL from the Sampler Life yahoo and Facebook group. It's a Gifted Gorgeousness because each square is a gifted freebie from the most wonderful designers. The first square on my project is from Faby Reilly, the second from Jane Hubble.<br />

But as soon as May started, I immediately picked Fright Flight back up to finish this cute project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkKboYlPjvwD0LcN3vcPVmcpk4uJ_9VE9dlGH0e6z2zRYMhFZO2Ft_52r-wSkVFKJ6V8h_qfdk4-B-XuSvAs1XG-lN08OJwXzXZnXQcaK5bCev8byOc1Yb94AT00DmG47cTdjj76bIDoKd/s1600/FrightFlight+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkKboYlPjvwD0LcN3vcPVmcpk4uJ_9VE9dlGH0e6z2zRYMhFZO2Ft_52r-wSkVFKJ6V8h_qfdk4-B-XuSvAs1XG-lN08OJwXzXZnXQcaK5bCev8byOc1Yb94AT00DmG47cTdjj76bIDoKd/s320/FrightFlight+2.JPG" width="194" /></a></div>
<br />
I absolutely love the humor in this pattern. How can you not smile at this little witch and her alternate ride?Marcyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16379361770175450295noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4257379976350836714.post-5906249118006940512015-05-01T14:39:00.000-04:002015-05-01T14:39:27.690-04:00Late for almost everything in April :(Unfortunately, my stitching schedule went out the window for April. My dad was in the hospital for a few weeks so the month was mostly spent in the car driving back and forth to visit him. He's out now so things should return to normal.<br />
<br />
Anyways, for April's WIPocalypse I didn't get as much done as I planned. Only 2 projects received any attention. The tulip sampler has one more square finished:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPC5_N6lAjuqq-9Raarc8MXZxkV03YXv_Tk_T9ndb7I7k7v0tajaOsDIZQ6UyHSAuA45iGMqZKd2j3251bMnK4zD7wVAzYwBkmZ6hUbxEK1P4l6feX62x5hEZ0RFTigeU44eiO_G184R6A/s1600/TulipSampler9.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPC5_N6lAjuqq-9Raarc8MXZxkV03YXv_Tk_T9ndb7I7k7v0tajaOsDIZQ6UyHSAuA45iGMqZKd2j3251bMnK4zD7wVAzYwBkmZ6hUbxEK1P4l6feX62x5hEZ0RFTigeU44eiO_G184R6A/s1600/TulipSampler9.JPG" height="257" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And the great pumpkin conspiracy has another pumpkin and some blue zigzags:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzto5FQrlJP0Y25xnnV25T0_ByPkKZkEf75kKZRDUMMO1xFFwDL6OwiwmT1-PzuJVRcuR8P9_FnH06_3KHKbyiOEH8XesuY1ByCYDbB6Kb0eVKsCi0NFtJ_cKYKg_xsZ_GYouNZPm_Rf2b/s1600/Pumpkn+Conspiracy+04272015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzto5FQrlJP0Y25xnnV25T0_ByPkKZkEf75kKZRDUMMO1xFFwDL6OwiwmT1-PzuJVRcuR8P9_FnH06_3KHKbyiOEH8XesuY1ByCYDbB6Kb0eVKsCi0NFtJ_cKYKg_xsZ_GYouNZPm_Rf2b/s1600/Pumpkn+Conspiracy+04272015.JPG" height="238" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL I finished Nevermore (which is a birthday present for a friend):
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJuyninPi21ppYHrCa2dG3RTogViTz_mrMXN1lTgILhrlNwRnP1dlKpTVOK7OczAJrLG-smPVE9t17haIyWepfqoUdJxlxLMK9KXYknVpyfV4kgub8Ij2qod3LTZYai67uZIOJdqOlBItM/s1600/Nevermore+finished.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJuyninPi21ppYHrCa2dG3RTogViTz_mrMXN1lTgILhrlNwRnP1dlKpTVOK7OczAJrLG-smPVE9t17haIyWepfqoUdJxlxLMK9KXYknVpyfV4kgub8Ij2qod3LTZYai67uZIOJdqOlBItM/s1600/Nevermore+finished.JPG" height="320" width="260" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the Halloween ornie SAL (this month's subject being tombstones) I took pieces of Nevermore for my ornament:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkvdoIRThZPO4TVMEG632z_vHB-LVEEQiBR6F95OEb2jEXrkNb2iyfBWX0RewW3bN7MU3XlKWZ9nJFlc4cnNlst_dwxgSD3wbqXSnyZ2qfFkmiRgBiTPs1xUfM0QlPhHtgrpUg6CQrsDze/s1600/Nevermore+ornie.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkvdoIRThZPO4TVMEG632z_vHB-LVEEQiBR6F95OEb2jEXrkNb2iyfBWX0RewW3bN7MU3XlKWZ9nJFlc4cnNlst_dwxgSD3wbqXSnyZ2qfFkmiRgBiTPs1xUfM0QlPhHtgrpUg6CQrsDze/s1600/Nevermore+ornie.JPG" height="320" width="210" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And then I started a new project that the Sampler Life group is stitching. I love this square from Faby Reilly:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFaWGT3o0o8LMg8LR1zIgfbtDQhylZfc3yPEgwwowTJ4Tu7HoHWn4cU2ZEevawKKfJEbic3EY6Iv9lrq8J0DyavSACiMuttl0nIh0YZq9sN07IBZgatfuS_WmHn5pJetXNvaKK9NmdZXLY/s1600/Wild+Rose.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFaWGT3o0o8LMg8LR1zIgfbtDQhylZfc3yPEgwwowTJ4Tu7HoHWn4cU2ZEevawKKfJEbic3EY6Iv9lrq8J0DyavSACiMuttl0nIh0YZq9sN07IBZgatfuS_WmHn5pJetXNvaKK9NmdZXLY/s1600/Wild+Rose.JPG" height="320" width="287" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Just what I need .... another project ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And last but not least, for the final days of April, I decided to pick up Primitive Santa and put in his coat sleeve.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG8cMIC-SYTlVXDcmFZOcPxVGbTGY9wYvI7FdWlSXyGgVtFYczDNe_ki7dUf1QWxnHm5525g3YNt3EU2ojEkGT6jCnjB_T3Yuh6eo7Hx3csH3eMxogrmICyIN93QLZ3J6c__CkWKGZSMvc/s1600/Primitive+Santa+02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG8cMIC-SYTlVXDcmFZOcPxVGbTGY9wYvI7FdWlSXyGgVtFYczDNe_ki7dUf1QWxnHm5525g3YNt3EU2ojEkGT6jCnjB_T3Yuh6eo7Hx3csH3eMxogrmICyIN93QLZ3J6c__CkWKGZSMvc/s1600/Primitive+Santa+02.JPG" height="320" width="272" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And that's it for April's stitching. I hope May is a better month.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
