I received a lovely postcard from Christine:
She writes:
The biscornu is one I made a few years ago from a Victoria Sampler design. The colours really remind me of summer flowers. The other photo is of my Apothecary's Rose, which has a very short flowering season but smells divine. My garden reminds me of the way Lady Katherine described Elizabeth's - "Miss Bennet, there seemed to be a prettyish kind of a little wilderness on one side of your lawn." Only my lawn is gradually being annexed by the wilderness!
Sounds like my kind of garden -- a little wild. Thank you Christine.

ReplyDeleteoh, that's an adorable biscornu! I think I have something similar from the VS, makes me feel like going back to it - it's such a lovely piece! I'll have it done by next summer! ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, garden shoudl always keep a slight wilderness, after all it's nature, and nature is never really calm :)
